Well fans, If the crew chief screws up the car today at least we had Vaseline For Men. lets hope it lets him slide in and out of traffic well. Truex is starting in 32nd spot. Thats almost a lap down at this track. This is Truex's home track and his only win was here. the big one comes early here about lap 80 so you want to be ahead of the 19 car before lap 70. Good luck to the boys

we crash and car is shoot Radiator is trashed oil running out of motor cant drive to garage I bet Lagano is dizzy after the 9 flips he did. all wreckers are taken so Truex cant even get to the garage. its a red flag and I think you can't work on the car on a red flag

Well, I (me being a she).. was there, saw it all, and it just broke my heart that
Martin got into it at lap 32.... I could have just cried... I was so frustrated for him..
I really thought I could be seeing a # 1 win yesterday.. but it was not AGAIN
any good for us... I was a bit happier to see him back out on the track, and give him
credit for even wanting too... at that point you say.. why even bother.. but he was
out there calling for some changes... WAY TOO GO MARTIN.!!!!
The race was not typical Dover in my opinion.. The green flag runs were SOOOOO
freaking long.. and boring. Dover was not like that.. and the real racing seemed
to start with 40 too go... everyone seemed happy to just stay on the track and
ride around till it was crunch time.. and that makes for boring racing..
But just being there, the LOUDNESS.. is like nothing you have ever heard before..
and the excitement... I had a GREAT time.. even if I wanted to doze off there for
a while... It's just awesome being there in person...
Better luck next week for Martin and the guys... This is truly not a good year for him.
Time to pack it in for sure..and move on.

sorry for the gender mistake. Embarassed anyhoo, glad you made the best of it. How long did it take you to get down there?

the reason truex went back out was at 86 laps down there were 5 or 6 cars out of the race with 200 laps to go in the race. so those cars would be over 200 laps down and truex would only be 86 laps down instead of 286 down by going back out on the track. So by beating those cars he saved some owner points and only droped 2 spots to 26th. If you fall below 35th in points your not locked in to the race at qualifing, making him a "go or go homer" he left the track when no one could get more laps then him if they made it back out and he couldn't gain any more spots. Bush was only 4 or 5 laps down.

I go to the dover spring race. I agree with the middle being boring. Talidaga is real boring. My favorit thing about the race is the smell of the fuel burning my nose with the beer I didn't pay $10 for in my hand and the sun on my face, even if the top of my knees are fried. If they only had Wifi so I could bring my lap top and watch my trackpass (would save my knees too) I didn't like the sprint thing.

I went by bus trip... They run trips from here on Long Island.. They do a weekend
trip, and also just a day trip.. Leave 7 a.m., back by approx. 11:45 p.m.
And you can get both the bus trip and the ticket, or you can get your own ticket
and just pay $65.00 for the bus ride.. which I would have spent in gas anyway...So I
think its a good deal.. AND.. the best thing is the bus drives right by the big long
line of traffic, the buses have their own lane right into the lot.. no traffic jam.
You can drink all you want, sleep on the bus, or watch a movie.. they do make
a 1/2 hr. stop for food, and too stretch.. so.. I like that way of going. No worries..
just sit back and let the driver do his thing..
Have not done a weekend trip with them yet.. They do Bristol, Dover, Pocono ( I think)
and Darlington, and Richmond. and they do this other thing.. "meet us there".. You get the hotel and the ticket.. but have to get your own way there. but that's for Daytona.
So you get the plane tickets, or drive.. and the rooms and tickets are waiting for
ya.. Hey.. sometimes getting the rooms are the most difficult part. Seems these
days getting tickets is no problem.. lots of empty seats at Dover.
I think Dover and Pocono are the only day trips.. I don't think he does New Hampshire
yet. Might get people home too late for work on Monday..
It took us 4 hrs. to get there, but it was raining.. so bus went a bit slower..
and coming home, it took 5 hrs.. some was track traffic leaving.. and we moved
but only did about 45 till you get out a bit from the track.. and we had a guy on the
bus that had a bit of a drinking issue.. and out rest stop was 45 min. instead of
30.. cause he was being a problem.. and we had to also drop 6 people off in
Manhattan.. but most people just slept the whole way home.. so it was all good...
