Favorite Tracks Anyone???
Well, let's hear what some of your fav. tracks are? I live in NY so I only get to
Pocono and Dover.. and I have been too Richmond.. and I like Dover the best of the
ones I have been at but I LOVE the SPEED... so give me Talladega and the draft...
I am not a big fan of the short tracks, but in the last year I have come to like them more.
The 1/1/2 milers are the same ole, can be snooze fests, but I still watch them.. I
watch ALL the races.. I know so called NASCAR fans that just don't watch certain races
cause they don't like the track.. or they shut the race off if their driver wrecks and is
off the track... I hang in there no matter what..
Pocono has it's boring moments.. but this last one, was not like any other Pocono..it
had some good racing the last 40 or so laps.
I am on my scanner every race now listening to Martin (Mr. Potty mouth).. and
I really like his spotter Joey and his crew chief Bono.. They really seem like great guys
and they try to keep Martin UP.. and staying positive, but this year, WOW they
have their work cut out... IT'S BEEN AWFUL.. expecially last 4 or 5 races.
Let's hear what races you all go too, and the ones you like or not so much...

Re: Favorite Tracks Anyone???
This year was the first year I made it to a live event.
It just happened to be the Daytona 500.
I was pretty pumped seeing how Martin was sitting on the pole for my first race.
I scored free tickets and I live pretty close to the track so it was a great day.
Before I moved to Florida 2 years ago, I lived in Mass. So loudon was my home track.
I have been to events at Loudon but never a Nascar race. Still a fun track.
I like the small local tracks best.
I live a few miles from Ocala speedway which is a great little dirt track.
See ya

Race Scanner chatter...
Yeah.. I can do that.. I am usually sitting at the computer on the scanner, while
watching TV.. so if anyone has the same kind of set up, I can post some stuff..
Martin starts out so mellow, and when something happens.. he starts with the potty
mouth.. he says "F" quite often.. but you can see it's out of frustration.. and most of
the time after a pit stop, he tells his guys "Great Job guys".. but when they screw up
he gets upset.. and once said... "We need to have some kind of pow wow.. and all
get on the same page one of these days".. and he was just really getting
frustrated.. but then after a while, he told the guys "Hey.. I'm sorry for gettin on
ya'll.. I just can't believe our luck... don't listen too me.. I am just blowin off steam..
don't mean to get on ya.."... So he felt bad later that he got on them.
I will try to relay some stuff and post it here during the race..
Oh.. and usually every race, he gets pissed off at one or two specific drivers..
One race he was just ragging on Streme, and said he was going to wreck in the
next 10 or so laps.. and Streme did.. and Martin said.."See.. told ya so"..
Sometimes he is really funny.. and has a dry sense of humor..

Favorite Tracks.
Funny you mentioned those local short tracks.. A few friends on the other board
are really into the local dirt tracks.. they just love going too them.
I never was at Louden.. might give it a try sometime.
Richmond was a bad experience.. For some reason.. people walk around the walkway
the entire race.. they just walk around the track.. around, and around.. like they have
no seats.. Well, we happen to get seats just 2 rows up from that walkway.. so
we had people walking in front of us the entire race and blocking our view.. It was not
good.. Got the tickets late so the higher up seats were all gone.. but if I ever go
again, I will sit higher.. Other people said the same thing.. Why do people go to just
walk around.. The track people should make them go to their seats.. it was SO
distracting.. and we drove 7 hours and stayed in a not so nice hotel.. to not even
get too see the cars as they came too your turn. If you have a good seat..
everyone loves the night race.. and the shine of the lights off the cars is awesome..
if you can see the cars through the crazy people..
My friends also TOTALLY LOVE.. Martinsville.. they say the racing is GREAT.. and the
Tailgating even better..LOL
